The GIVO Solution

At GIVO, we’re ambitious. We want to end plastic pollution while building wealth for the underserved communities.

Our solution is simple, yet impactful: build zero carbon recycling centers in communities across the continent. These centers create jobs for local community members, and encourage behavioural change through incentivised recycling and responsible waste practices.

We are also big on data: we believe that to truly end waste, understanding where they come from and how they travel is important, so GIVO’s practices are powered by cloud-based technology that records the waste and recycling behaviours.

EPIC Plastic Innovation

GIVO participated in and emerged winner of the EPIC Plastic Innovation Challenge organized by Coca-Cola.

May, 2019.

LAWMA

GIVO partnered with the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) on a collection pilot to digitize waste management and improve efficiency across Lagos State. Read more.

COVID-19 Protective Gear

In response to COVID-19, GIVO initiated a processing pilot to manufacture face shields and masks, demonstrating the adaptability of our circular solutions. Read more.

Diversified Production

Achieved the milestone of 15,000 PPE units produced, while diversifying into new products such as flowerpots and abacuses.

December, 2020.

Eco Panels

Successfully installed and commenced production on Africa’s first plastic sheet production line. Read more.

Partnerships

GIVO Centers

2 GIVO centers operational in Lagos and Abuja IN 2022.
Partnership with Firestone Liberia in 2023 to establish GIVO x Firestone recycling center in Harbel, Liberia.
As of August 2025, GIVO now has 7 recycling centers with in collaboration with Office of Climate Change & Circular Economy, Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board and APM Terminals.
